Richard Blome (1635-1705) was one of the most important English Illustrators, Publishers and Cartographers of the 17th and early 18th Century. The engravings depicting Hunting and Fowling are part of Blome’s THE GENTLEMAN’S RECREATION (1686) which includes some of the earliest published illustrations of British Field Sports.
